OnPoint Pro

The backbone and face of OnPoint’s customers amazing experiences are our OnPoint Pros. Every day OnPoint Pros jump in on a wide range of activities including welcoming our customers, educating, and many times introducing them, to firearms use, managing safety on the range, helping in our training classes, guiding private events, selling on the retail floor and being the expert source of facility information. Every day is little different but always fun.


Become an expert on the various features and attractions of the OnPoint facility. 

Greet customers upon arrival, answer questions, provide suggestions, and conduct a seamless handoff to the appropriate department. Engage with customers at the end of their visit to gain feedback from their experience. 

Gain and demonstrate thorough knowledge on all products, pricing, and services offered by OnPoint. Communicate with customers and evaluate their needs. 

Be proactive with selling of merchandise, including demonstrations. 

Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures. 

Be knowledgeable and meticulously detailed in proper intake and release of firearms in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws, and as required by ATF. 

Assist with merchandising and stocking sales floor. 

Assist in keeping the overall appearance of the facility neat and clean. 

Assist customers with range check-in including selling ammunition, renting firearms, assigning lane, and processing point of sale transactions. 

Operate the check-in system for training classes and events and prepare customers for class/event start times, such as ensuring waivers are completed. 

Orient customers to the facility and direct customers to designated meeting area for class/event. 

Deliver an outstanding store experience that improves customer loyalty. 

Demonstrate multi-tasking, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 

Be professional in appearance and attitude; contribute to a positive team atmosphere, treating others with respect and consideration while following OnPoint policies and procedures. 

Additional duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

Exemplary customer service skills are our number one requirement.

Knowledge of firearms and related safety practices preferred.

Previous retail or sales experience preferred.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, and operation of a computerized point of sale system and retail sales preferred. 

Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment, provide excellent customer service, and always remain courteous. 

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. 

Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business including nights, at least one day on the weekends, and holidays. 

There may be times when most team members will be asked to take on additional responsibilities or asked to work in other areas of the store as needed with little to no advance notice. 

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and meet the federal requirements for handling and processing firearm transactions. 

Compensation & Benefits:

This position includes competitive pay, benefits, and monthly performance incentives. 

Unique OnPoint benefits include: 

Cost plus 5% on all merchandise that OnPoint is able to access

Free range time (as available) 

Can attend any course offered at no charge (space permitting)

Job Type:

Part-time (minimum of 20 hours a week) or Full-time (if cross-trained into other positions to include Range Safety)
