RALEIGH PRACTICAL SHOOTING LEAGUE (RPSL)

Raleigh Practical Shooting League

RPSL – Get better, meet people, have fun!

What is RPSL?

We are Raleigh Practical Shooting League, hosted at OnPoint. We are run
monthly competitive shooting events for all levels of shooters!

Our motto is “Amicitia – Exerciatio – Gaudium” which translates to Friendship –
Practice – Fun!

We mix up the styles and layouts (stage designs0, always giving you something
fresh and fun. OnPoint is a great place to learn to shoot – safely and well – and
our RPSL uses their great facility to let you try out and build your skills in a
competitive environment. Shooting with people watching and a timer running is
totally different than just standing in a stall shooting at static targets and it is so
much fun! You’ve never experienced anything like it and there’s no better
place to come try it than OnPoint. RPSL has a clear mission for our guests: have
fun, get better, make friends.

What does it look like?

4 -6 stages – with different scenarios and layouts to test your shooting and
decision making (we told you this was fun!). We set up OnPoint’s 3 bays and
take you on the other side of the line – with movement, a variety of targets, and
even walls, barriers & barrels! We have “no shoot” targets and “hard cover”
targets – you must miss these or get penalized – and some stages may have
swingers and other wild components! Trust us, it’s lots of fun no matter your
shooting level!

When is it?

Third Tuesday of every month.

Doors open 6:45pm – 7:15pm for check in, there is a mandatory safety briefing
7:15pm, and shooting starts as soon as bays are reset around 7:30pm.

4 – 6 stages, round count 70-100 rounds (but bring extra in case you miss!)

Typically, all stages are complete in around 2.5 hours.

IMPORTANT

Everyone MUST complete an OnPoint safety waiver.

Registration, payment, and squadding is all done through Practiscore.
There is no charge for a Practiscore account. You cannot squad until payment is
complete and the match director has approved you (you’ll get an email with
info once you register and pay).

No refunds – space is limited, and we sell out every match, so please only
register if you are certain you can make it!

Everyone is expected to help paste targets during the event and then help
break down and clean up afterwards!

Notes:

You do not have to be a member of OnPoint to shoot with us, but it’s a great
deal and you are going to want to practice once you get the competitive
shooting bug! See the match director for more information.

The competitor briefing is posted on each month’s Practiscore page under
“match documents”.

Registration generally opens to the public 7-10 days prior to a match.

Thanks and please come join us for the fun!
