It's time to get down to business. You have begun to master the basics and are ready to move on to some more complex fundamentals of practical shooting. After a brief classroom review of presentations and reloads, you will learn how to remediate a Type 3 malfunction, then head to the range. On the range you will begin to perfect engagement sequencing, including failure drills, and be introduced to some drills that will begin to challenge your ability to shoot both quickly and accurately from the holster.
Note: Participation in the Level 3 classes requires the completion of levels 1 and 2 or OnPoint Concealed Carry, as well as a minimum of 4-8 hours of practice after
Level 2 or CCH is recommended. Students who sign up for Level 3 classes must be able to draw safely and efficiently from the holster to shoot accurately on demand utilizing an IDPA or similar style target up to 10 yards. Further, the shooter should be ablet o attain a minimum 80% (120 out o150 points) on the OnPoint Concealed Carry qualification, and/or the Triple Nickle before taking these courses. Shooters who cannot confidently pass either of these practical tests are advised to practice or seek further training before signing up.
