Aaron Kimball

General Manager

Aaron came to OnPoint with over 11 years of experience in sports management and coaching, mentoring, and developing youth and collegiate soccer players. In April of 2020, he decided it was time to step back and pursue a new career that would be challenging and provide opportunities for personal growth and OnPoint seemed to be the perfect fit. He is passionate about OnPoint and its mission to build relationships and provide an amazing customer experience. Aaron holds a degree in Business Administration: Sports Management from Montreat College and a Masters in Sports Sciences and Pedagogy in Soccer from OhIo University. He's served as a Coach, Assistant Director of Coaching and Player Development, Tournament Director, Events Coordinator and Administrator.

Matt Sabey

Supply Chain Manager

Matt Sabey grew up in Littleton, Colorado. Matt graduated from BYU in 2016 with a BS in economics and a BA in Chinese. He moved to Raleigh where he met his lovely wife, Taylor. He started working at startups and loved it. Sabey returned to BYU and received a MBA in entrepreneurship and supply chain. He joined OnPoint in July of 2021 and is excited about the growth OnPoint has experienced!

Annie Beckstrand

Firearms Compliance and Retail Store Merchandising Specialist

Annie is relatively new to the Raleigh area, moving here in late 2020 from Salt Lake City Utah. She is a student at Wake Tech Community College studying history with an emphasis in European art. She has always loved to travel and even lived in Italy for a time. She is happiest when curled up with her dogs and a good book. Annie has more than 5 years of retail management experience and is excited to take on this new role at Onpoint!

Justin Tapner

Membership Manager

Justin joins the OnPoint team with almost 2 decades of Hospitality and Event experience.  After attending UC Boulder, he continued his career in Hospitality in San Diego, working for some of the highest rated companies in Southern California. Recently, he decided the time had come to begin a career in a hobby he was deeply passionate about, and OnPoint’s brand with our exceptional Hospitality and Innovation was the right place for him to end up. A recent transplant to the Triangle from San Diego with his Fiancé and daughter, he spends every moment he can on the range or connecting with our guests.

David Ng

Director of Training

David joined OnPoint after retiring with 25 years in Law Enforcement, with the last 11 years as a Chief of Police and a total of 17 years of command and first line supervision. In addition, David served as a patrol officer, ABC agent/investigator, fraud investigator, SWAT team member/leader/commander. David has a Master’s in Business Administration focusing on organizational leadership and change. David has a passion for the martial arts and has been training for over 30 years. He operates a small martial arts school he has had for over 28 years, teaching both traditional and practical self-defense, empty hand and weapons concepts. Since 2006 David was a Law Enforcement Instructor in general topics and specialized certificate in Subject Control Arrest Techniques (S.C.A.T. / defensive tactics). David is a Raleigh native born and raised. He has lived and worked in the Raleigh area his whole life other than his 5 years away for college in the NC Mountains. David and his wife live in the area. He has 3 children that live locally that are in work/college/high school.

Houck Reed

Houck’s vision is to bring serious fun to the sport of shooting firearms. After 20+ years of executive success in growth and turnaround technology company roles he’s focusing on his passion for the sport of shooting. He’s building the company, the teams, the culture and the spaces where everyone feels welcomed, engaged and challenged while enjoying the community and sport of shooting.

Lewis Heaps

Lewis is the wizard behind the magic. He has an extensive background in IT management and infrastructure. He has decades of experience with network, communications and software engineering. He has also spent time fixing pianos and all sorts of technical gadgets. He builds and maintains the technology hardware that makes OnPoint so amazingly unique. On top of that, he is the proud father of 5 and grandfather of 15.
